La tour Eiffel - Un laboratoire scientifique expérimental !Début 1887, Gustave Eiffel rencontre son premier écueil : deux piliers de sa future tour sont situés sous le niveau de la Seine. Il imagine donc des caissons pressurisés pour permettre aux ouvriers d'affronter le sol gorgé d'eau... Ainsi sera posé l'édifice, dont l'ingénieur prolongera l'intérêt scientifique en installant une antenne radio, puis une soufflerie pour ses expériences en aérodynamique.
